get a decent exhaust, and manifold and a remap or unichip and you should be close. the c16xe is an exellent engine, much better head design than the x16xe.

Try looking at that thread.
For the mods you have listed, they will cost: -
Mantzel - £200 - 500
Enlarged TB - £250
De-Cat - £60-100
Viper - £150
With just these alone, you would not hit 140BHP. The standard exhaust manifold is crap, you'd need to change that. Theres another £140. A set of cams would be needed aswell.
It would need a re-map which will probably cost £400

the standard manifold isnt crap at all! its a pretty good design really but a 4-2-1 will give slight gains. and you would not need cams!
easiest way is to sell what you have and buy some tb's.
a second hand set-up would be around £1k. if you sell your mantzel and use the money that you would spend on a unichip and manifold you would have enough!
ive recently sold a full set-up for £600, and i know someone selling loom and management for £300. should see around 145 bhp on a standard c16xe. and it is a 'real' 145 bhp, not just a big peak at 5k - 7k rpm.
you know you want to

it will give very good gains! i was well chuffed with my set-up but in the end it cost more than just buying tb's in the first place.
as an example:
with my 150bhp mantzel set up i got wasted by a lad i know with a 2 litre corsa. it wasnt even close. with vts's and pug gti's it was a good match, mine was slightly quicker.
but with 160 bhp its only 10 bhp more at the peak power, but its much quicker through the revs, rather than waiting until 5k rpm it is there instantly. i pull away from my mates 2 litre easily up to 80 mph. with my new inlet manifold im currently running 169 bhp!

no, just some arp rod bolts and sbd rollers. cost about £140 for both.
you would need these anyway with your mantzel set-up. i didnt on my first engine and the rod bolts gave up. ended up with smashed piston, bent valves, bent conrods, dead engine.

arp rod bolts, replace the bolts that hold the con rods to the crank basically, arp are stronger than standard. the standard bolts are weak
sbd rollers, these replace the standard cam belt rollers, the standard ones are plastic and collapse, sbd ones are metal and dont collapse.
