hey ppl. the head gasket has gone on the lil white corsa and its looking like its going to be a very expensive fix as its looking like alot more than the gasket causing the problem. all the breathers etc are all blocked solid and look like that have been for some time. runs perfectly so something isnt right. co2 in the headertank is off the scale also.
anyways to the point -
ive found a 1.6 16v corsa gsi engine with gearbox, loom, shafts, ecu, etc etc for a very gd price and aslong as insurance isnt to bad, im thinking about the conversion. what other parts am i going to need?
fuel lines?
MPI fuel pump?
engine mounts?
gear linkage?
anything else i will need?

i'm not an expert like, but i thought u kept the same fuel lines, but changed to an mpi pump. I reckon you can use the normal gear linkage as they are both small block engines, so will use similar gearboxes ??? (i could be totally wrong !!!). As for the engine mounts, wouldn't you use the standard ones from the X16 ???

the physical fuel lines along the car are the same, but the ends where they screw onto the fuel rail/regulator are different (i think)
need the front engine mount for the c16, g/box are the same
gear linkage is the same
will need a 16v (2 inlet pipes at top) header tank

you need
the fuel line ends
the fuel pump
engine wiring loom
airflow meter
ecu
gearbox
1.416v non PAS atenator bracket and belt
you dont need
shafts and cvs the.....1.2 ones fit
gear linkage....the 1.6 and 1.2 are the same
engine mounts..use the drivers side one from your 1.2... the rest are the same.
