My spray painter friend Tom came over today to paint up S1MON's car. Thought I would share the pics as it looks quite fun. Gave me a few pointers in how to spray paint, didn't get let loose on any painting though, save that for my car

Can't wait to get mine done now

http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk sell them. They are great, think I might get a few for myself - they are disposable. If you want a few sets of overalls go to the covered market in Brum. There is a stall that sells second hand overalls, thats where I got mine from for the grand sum of £7

Was already painted silver, the paint was just being blended in from the new door and a rear quater pannel repair I think. I wasn't doing the work on it, was lending the workshop out to a friend

is it soft edge tape?
should never use newspaper mate as the thinner in the paint can transfer and ink onto the paint work when you overspray onto it.

It's 3M Scotch masking tape, not sure if it was a special sort, thats what it said on the reel. He also had some special stuff for sticking the rubbers back on the rear window... The plastic sheeting was really good too, was static so it stuck to the car which made masking areas off a lot easier...

You'll have to come round some time when we're doing something interesting... Normally if anyone's in there it's just me welding, sanding and grinding... All kinda boring. Should be primering my car in a few weeks.

the plastic static sheeting is gd and stops the spray on it and u should always use normall brown paper for masking up oter bits, also the plastic sheeting has to go one way round cos if you have it the other way over then the overspray doesnt stick to it and wen u take the sheet off it will all go up in the air and go over ur whole car!
