Is t-cut the best thing to use for paint restoration or is there a better product out there?

Please advise with personal experiences of products..

Cheers guys.

Flame Red?

I would use Auto Glym Paint Restorer, then keep polishing with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish.

Arden blue is not "solid" 2k paint, its a base coat colour with a clearcoat. If your buying any T-Cut or anything make sure its suitable for metallics, as this includes you lacquered paint work. But yes even base coat with lacquer will dull down over time, but not near as much as the 2k red on vauxhalls. Best bet though is just to use G3 compound and wax afterwards, u could even go for a finer grade compound than the G3 version

IMO the old method of G3 polished compound and then a good waxing will greatly help any kind of paintwork out there in the world of cars. Most other of these polishes or waxs are not abrasive so the shine dose'nt last and has to be repeated every months or so. Even t-cut is not very abrasive at all. But using the G3 on an electric polisher is adviced for best results. You could use these other polishes or waxs after you compound the car to keep it looking freshly waxed every so often and the g3 will removed light scratches better than any t cut.

need to be careful with a cutting compound and plishers though, ive went through a wee bit of the laquer on a car before when using it, really easy to do if your not paying attention the whole time
