fitted powercap today with original airbox, strut brace just squashes pipe a little bit, iv noticed it seems flat with original airbox back on. should i put back on my ricey cone filter? or can i adapt it so strut brace dont squash air intake?

My xe ran well with cone filter, push it as far down into wing as possible..
a few cold air feeds one from side and one from underneath.

you would need to drop the airbox down somehow

a raid strut brace would allow you to utilise the standard airbox without any modifications

you need a gsi air box and cut some of the internals out, and add 2 air feeds into for it to work effectively
Dave Franzak did it on his and looked awesome!

v tuning conversions sit slightly further forward dont they? to eliminate the need for bulkhead cutting
the car looks perfect on the outside as well as under the bonnet

your right in theory, if you mount it further forward, and repostion the fan you wouldnt need to cut the bulkhead for a powercap i reckon
only problem is v tunning designed a plate and used vectra inlet pipe, so all that fucking around isnt needed

Mint is not the word!
I keep telling Dave i want 1st refusal when he sells that corsa!
By far the most factory looking one ever!
With 170 bhp as well

I remember seeing daves mk1 astra in max poo a few years back, that turned me off chav kits, massive wheels and onto retro vauxhalls! didnt realise he had a corsa tho!
I can imagine his LC will be fooking insane!

I think MattB's (Icemans) is probably the most factory looking conversion as it uses original Vauxhall engine mounts... I guess there are a few out there that are like that though.
