i'd leave it until something adverse happens, when does it make the noise?

My top tips for car repairs:

-talk a wall around car and kick a random tyre

-lift bonnet and pretend to look at the back of engine, decide its impossible, close bonnet and hope thats worked

-puts some redex in the fuel tank, unmeasured, just guess, go for a drive and convince yourself its like a new car and a little bit quicker when you floor it.

-open bonnet again, this time look straight down and notice the floor, think about that for a minute, close bonnet, fingers crossed thats gots it!!!

-open door and stand on the sill, hold door pillars and jump up and down, notice how the car creaks and wobbles, jump off....shut door, maybe thats sovled the knocking exhaust??

-open bonnet for last time, grab hold of as many plugs, pipes, wires, components you can and squeeze, prod, pull, wiggle and blow them all.......proper mechanics now, close bonnet, go and winge about it to someone
