Diesels are great, but most folk who buy and modify older cars ignore them, as theyve only really been any good in relatively new cars so far.
the only problem they have to get sussed in diesels is rev response. They have made them rev properly so you get a decent gap between shifts, but the response is crap.

To be honest my Diesel needs new injectors which dosnt help and the boost i think is a bit high so the power drops off as heat builds, think im running about 18PSI on the standard intercooler.

Well in usuall bodge job stylee i followed a guide to do a tune up on the engine which takes it from 90bhp to 110+bhp. The difference was amazing but the guide said wind in the accutor thing on the turbo 1 1/2 turns to give 15psi i pissed about with it so much i forgot how many times its been wound in, im gessing over 2 now haha. Boost guage is coming soon though.

newer diesals are very good, but will never overtake petrol in terms of performance imo. I know they won that partiuclar event but look at what technology had to go into it, and i bet it wasnt running on average diesel either

Lambo are working on a diesel engine.
Although now you have to do a stupid amount of miles to make your money back on a brand new diesel so its a waste of time anyway.
