Alright,
im using a mates car at the moment.. well its his dads actually a swavvy cavvy

mate is sure his dad taxed it until june, but just realised 2nite that the disc says 31/01/06
he is positive it was until june, said he even put it in their..

can i get another tax disc for it? or will i have to pay for another 6 months?? how can i prove that the disc is lost??

they just have the disc info on file as they would know when to send a reminder out etc!

Well you could go to this website http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/ and click Vehicle Enquiry. Look for the Vehicle Status and that will tell you if the car needs to be taxed or not (it won't give you the exact date though.

You don't actually need the log book - I had my head in a twist

Sorted got it!

go to local office with v5 and its £7 for a replacement...
