Could mean many things, you'd have to do the paperclip test.

that the bulb hasnt been taken out so when you take it for a test drive you know the light will come on if there any faults.

the em light should come on when you put the key in the ignition meaning someone hasnt just removed the bulb. if it has PAS check that all works ok, the airbag light should briefly come on then go off - check this. check front seatbelt buckles for the 'yellow tag' if you see them it means the pretensioners have gone off

as for the headgasket check for reciepts, has all relevant gaskets been replaced etc. check for when the cambelt was/if done and if so has the rollers and water pump been done etc

one of the clips for the passenger seatbelt has gone but i would have thought it would be quite easy to source one from a scrapyad??
at what milege does the cambelt need chainging?? and what should have been done alltogether when the headgasket was perlaced??
cheers fraser

looks around the bodywork for shoddy accident repair. Cambelt should be done at 35k/40k intervals. Waterpump should have been replaced along with the gasket

seatbelt pretensioners about 3/4 hours work, might be able to get one for scrappy. cambelt usually 40k miles. proper headgasket job would mean all gaskets, head skim (usually) a full head set (stem seals, bolts etc)

if a seatbelt tensioner has gone off its had a hard thump from the front, might be worth double checking. other than that b pillar cracks and the usual engine/bodywork checks

i paid £850 for a corsa sport in black, but that was standard and had 87k miles!! that should give you a rough guide!!
then again, i cleaned it up, tinted the windows and sold it for £1250 1 month later

its lowered 60mm shocks springs
16"alloys
clear rear lights, clear front lights
full s/s exhaust system
k&n induction
has 88k (aprox)
and is in general good condition
i am going to try and haggle at least £100 off or to around 950 or do you think 1100 is reasnoble and fair

That's quite a good price to be fair.
