whats the difference beteween a decat pipe with the box and just a single pipe?

single pie = no silencer and can be raspy.

mine had a box

and it was raspy

but that might have been down to the lack of middle box on my system

what hp gains do decats give? anyone actually found out?

i used to have one and it pulled better higher in revs, but not massively different (ended up selling cos i couldn't be arsed with mot troubles etc)

not much to gain, I fitted one because I had spent £1000's on throttle bodies etc but without fitting a new inlet they are a bit pointless.
