This is the vauxhall fitment that connects to my vauxhall headunit!
What I need to know is
1. what the wire at the top, that has 3v running through it when the ignition is switched on does?
2. What the wire that has 2v running through it when the ignition is switched on does
3. does anyone have a wiring diagram for this part of a 2005> corsa.
4. If i need to find a 12v power supply that comes on when the ignition comes on, is the back of the cigarette lighter the best place? Do i need to solder the wire to there? or can the existing wire be cut and then joined and taped back up?
5. I need to find a cable that has power coming to it when the lights get switched on and then not when the lights go off.
Any help on the above would be really appreciated!!

connect up an avic x1r. Was hoping that one of the wires on the headunit wiring would be the speed pulse wire i need. Also the new wiring adapters for 05 corsas have two bare leads cos vauxhall changed the wiring. So need to find somewhere for a 12v switched power supply (cig lighter?) question 4, and illumination question 5.

Only way to find out if its a speed pulse wire is to connect a multimeter to either wire when driving to be honest.
Or wait for haynes to rip up and write away

on the mulitmeter would it be the voltage that is changing or something else whilst your driving?

found out the green and white are to do with the can bus and used for the mfd.
The wire i need for the speed pulse is located somewhere in the bcm and is blue and red!

There is a speed pulse going to the MFD in all corsa's as far as im aware, there definatly was in the B.
Have a look on the plug for the mfd to see if you can see a blue/red wire.
