I have no TV in my room...i was thinking of buying a TV that can be used as a computer monitor BUT.....they are mega expensive
been looking on ebuyer for normal monitors...wat shuld i be looking for for a good quality image? ratios etc?can prob pick up a 17" for about £115 ish......!
any advice wuld b cool

Numbers don't really mean that much as they all just put whatever makes it sound best.
17" for that cheap will probably be rubbish.
LG are good.
Post some your considering and i'll have a look.

LCD/Monitors are not MEGA expensive...not that cheap but worth...
I use a Samsung SyncMaster910MP...was great during it's time and for the price I paid..LOL
LG are good one and quite sleek design

i would not go near an LG LCD if i were you. the number of units we have been getting back returned because of faults is unreal

they def said it was more than that on some programme on LG I saw...saying that it was probably made by them so made up a higher figure!!

I don't know how I missed that LG comment.
LG lcd's are brilliant.
I'm not disputing you getting a lot back with faults but that must be a bad batch or something.
Out of 5 or 6 LG monitors i've bought over the last year or so, only one had a problem that only I could see, it was swapped out next day.
And LG make a large amount of the panels as I think cosmo is saying.

Phillips make the panels, LG market them. and its not a 'bad batch', because this has been going on for 12 months, with all types of LCD's, from 17" up to 50"
