Thought id change a vacuum hose coming off my fuel pressure regulator as it was starting to perish.

So i went and bought some hose, did the job and that was that.

Just now me and my missus went for a long drive round for sumthing to do, on our way back, literally about 30 seconds after coming off the motorway, the car cuts out, no power, powersteering or power assisted brakes nothing.

so im forced to pull in, im shitting it, instantly think cambelt, so i take the cover off and tell the mrs to turn it over to see if it is snapped.

next thing as im looking at the belt fuel starts pissing over my hands, the sealed cap on the top of the fpr had come off and fuel was flying everywhere id fcking forgot to put the clip back in.

My relief at finding out it was only something very minor and trivial then turned to anxiety when i realised without no clip there would be noway of getting home as there was no way of securing the FPR, i looked around the engine bay and lo and behold the clip was sitting on the slam panel still after about 25-30 miles of driving i could believe it, anyway, clipped it back on and all was good..
