And the latest progress?
Well after getting a interesting MOT and insurance (through tescos ) I've been driving it carefully having lots of fun.
Last week or so I went over to Leda Suspension over at Braintree where they setup my camber and everything else so my car could actually take corners!
Since then its been alot more fun, its such an experience as I've been driving the 1ltr corsa c for ages!
Last week the car took a turn for the worse and developed a very bad thumping sound.. suspected it was cam followers so they were replaced but still getting it
Sump is coming off then possibly the head to see whats fucked, hopefully I'll have her back for PVS (that or my mums passat )

they asked how much of a performance increase was it as a percentage
So i worked out the difference between whatever 1.4 8v is and 150/160 BHP and told them.
They sent through a renewal policy through the door and asked for a £1100, only reason i went with them in the first place is because my original policy was with them and I didnt want to loose my no claims for that year.

Few updates..
Lee Mitchell helped destroy a water pipe while helping me out with my engine, so I fixed it a day later with a wicked bodge using some fuel pipe:
Obviously this was a temp solution, so instead of using that fucking vauxhall pipe that you have to split into two for the 20xe conversion, I went over to
my local Pirtek and they sold me 1 metre of badass 8mm pipe suitable for
carrying about everything apart from hot lava for a tidy sum of £3.50
I spent fucking ages under the car doing trying to reattach the hose to the inlet manifold. A little advice for anyone who is replacing hoses , if you notice the metal part of the pipe
(bit you slip the rubber hose onto) is all corroded and shiz then get a little bit of sandpaper on it to make it lovely a slipperly again.
My car lacked tunez, so I dived into the money pot and bought the Alpine CDA 9855R - Now my speakers sound really pooh.
Replaced the fan switch (in the rad) with one that turns the fan on at about 95c, ave it. (thanks lee!) Lee did warn me that they can be complete cunts and just spin in the rad, requiring a
new one so I made sure I did this before midday so I could order myself a new rad asap
Changed the gasket on the dipstick, legend has is that the early 20XE had a shitty plastic/paper gasket and was then replaced later on with a metal one, cost me 66p from my local vauxhall.
Will see later in the week if it still leaks. Was a simple unattach stuff and yank out job, lovely.
Note the ikea tray used for oil/coolant drops, does a wicked job
Engine still sounds fuck however, knocks like a cunt so I'm discussing that with the engine bloke later this week hopefully. I also paid out for insurance on friday which was £920 with a
£500 excess for 12 months, all mods declared, alarmed, 21 yeards old, 4 years no claims (getting old ).
