I am just wandering how many of you running the 288mm 4stud brake conversion would be interested in Black diamonds Combi discs if they were specially made in 4 stud?
Im parts manager for a Lotus specialist garage and we use there brakes on some of the track day cars we work on. Hoping I might be able to make the most of our trade relationship if there is enough demand.
I have enquired to them and am just waiting for availability/price/minimum order details etc.
If you might be interested please post and let me know

standard discs are better than black diamond ones

blakc diamond ones warp, or chew themselves apart. GM discs dont

Donnas had Black diamond discs on D5NNA since we fitted the brakes, about 4/5 years ago.

I've got standard 4 stud discs. Hate them, they get too hot too quick when used again and again (i.e track situations).

Pedal is sh1te, rear discs and braided lines help.

i.d say either just go for 2.0 setup or straight for 4 pots....

PS, Black Diamond Fiat Coupe Discs are the same size, PCD, hence whats on D5....

Does D5 get much use though?

I've had my 300 drilled discs (HiSpec) on for 3 years now.... they are still great.... but they have seen maybe 3k hard miles

Aren't Renault ones the same pcd? If so the old phase 2 Meganes (in 16v form) have 280.

I think they fit..

Nope.....

My first problem was the fact that I ran the calipers upside down for quite a while Damn things. Thats what happens when you drink + work on cars....

I realised later...... Much later after getting fedup of a dodgey pedal.

Got braideds on. Its much better, but it doesn't inspire confidence, and thats what I need from the brakes.

Adam - Not much at all but a lot more than mine recently. But when she needs to brake, she does....

STILL got the 4 pots from when they first came out from Hadland a few years ago STILL sat in the garage...
