I have a 1.4 16v sport. Ive seen a tigra engine that im after. Its a 1.6 16v. Will it fit straight in?

sensors and loom may be different depending on the year, get the loom, ecu, chip and transponder from the tigra and all will be fine

my car is a 1999 'V' plate 1.4 16v sport. I phoned the garage again yesterday about the engine and the mechanic said that there different and he doesnt want to take on such a big project. I said its like a direct fit, whats he on about.

they're the same. what 1.6 16v is is? c16xe or x16xe (ecotec)
