Hi, Car went in for a MOT in April and passed just has a few advisoey things, wondering if people here could help me or advise how i could fix these advisorys that have not yet been sorted, im pretty much wanting to do this from home.

Nearside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not result in excessive movement [2.4.G.3]
Offside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not result in excessive movement [2.4.G.3]
Offside rear wheel bearing play in rear wheel bearing [2.6.2]
Center front exhaust system has minor leak of exhaust gases [7.1.2a]
Headbreak cable corroding o/s/r tyre sidewall groove but cord showing.

These are my advisorys any help guys and girls?

1.Nearside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not result in excessive movement [2.4.G.3] = The rubber is perished as it getting old change it for piece of mind

Offside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not result in excessive movement [2.4.G.3] = same as above

Offside rear wheel bearing play in rear wheel bearing [2.6.2] =take the wheel & drum off and inspect it if its ok repack it an reassemble (if you can be 4rsed nip it up)

Center front exhaust system has minor leak of exhaust gases [7.1.2a] = get it up in the air and have a look if not take it an exhaugst place and get it looked at


Handbreak cable corroding o/s/r tyre sidewall groove but cord showing. = agian have a look at it and replace the cable if need be

Where are these bush any one got a photo of where i will find the, also were i can buy them and how much they cost.

My car is a 1999 Corsa 1.6 sport

buy them from vauxhall. they are cheap.

vauxhall will know which bush you mean if you take the advisory sheet with you

then a garage will do them for you

My stepdad has his own garage so can get done ther easy anyways.

I know were a Vauxhall body shop is locallly, think they will have them.

Does no-one have any idea on fitting these your self as i would really like to do the work my self to learn more about how it works and whats where etc.

Go to vaux with the sheet, and show it to parts desk. Say u want 2 new ones. . . go back home and rip the car to bits till u find the said part, replace it. . and bobs ya uncle!!

Your not very much help are you? Does anybody know exactly were these bushes are please guys as i am keen to learn

what he said is right.

go to vauxhall

get the bushes

locate the similar looking bushes on your suspension bottom arms

replace them

and dont just replace the two FFS. there are four easily replaceable bushes, do the lot.
