probably

what happens is your foot presses the pedal, which has a sensor on it somewhere, that sends a signal to an ecu which works out how much to alter the actuator on the throttle body by, which adjusts your speed

and stuff

So you can no longer 'rev' the engine from the engine bay like you can by pushing the throttle cable ball joint thingymajig?

the only way to rev it is by hooking up a laptop to it apart from your foot of course.the bmw's at work we can make the windows go up and down,rev them.you can even open the boot and doors on the 7 series just by using a laptop.mad stuff

yes, I crashed into the Dyson factory on my way to pvs and ended up with a scratched front bumper but also some very effective cold air feeds

I absolutely hate fly by wire throttles, they are far too soft and you get no feedback from the pedal.

I drove an A4 for about an hour up the M1 a few weeks back, my ankle hurt after about half the journey because I had to hold it in such an awkward position. My first experience was in a Corsa C, I was going to buy one before I realised how shit fly by wire is

Yes it will be Mr Marriott, they aint too bad imo. The worst ones i have used have been in Vectra B's, mainly 2.2 quite awkward to get right.

All C's are aren't they? They all also have a nasty horroble hydraulic clutch. I like the heavyness of a 20XE clutch, or even better, the one on SteveW's LET, thats a switch...

You can sort that, its only software so you can alter it all.
