Fiat Punto Grande.

Was a very nice car to drive. It's solidly built, doesn't rattle and was increadibly smooth.

I drove the 1.3 Multijet engine'd model, the 90bhp version. 1st and 2nd gear gave great acceleration, while the rest of the gears up to 6th were a bit longer, though I guess with the revs up and the turbo boosting I could have got a bit more performance from it. Just be something to get used to really.

It seems like quite a big car, almost Golf sized, nice and comfortable. Everything is electric in it.

Think I might be putting an order in for one soonish Got to get it in bright orange too

Anyway, I'm sure none of you care and will tell me how it will fall apart because it's a Fiat

Think that the 1.3 is a brand new engine. The 6th gear is an overdrive for motorway cruising, however they are probably not going to be using it for much longer and putting 5 speeds in instead in the 1.3's....

So will any small hatch really, a VW Polo would probably be the best, but you don't get as much car for your money...

I think it's slightly pearlescent. It looked a lot better than in that picture. It's either that or the bright red colour

That was in fact the intention of the designers according to the owner of Fiat when he presented the car

It's got the same chassis as the New Corsa too, they share something like 70% of the parts... Not sure why the Corsa is taking so long to come out when the Punto was released in Feb...
