Changed discs and pads yesterday, brakes are really crap now. Pedal goes down a long way before anything happens and also they seem to get really hot when I use them normally. Had them smoking twice today with just normal driving. They don't seem to be binding at all. Any ideas?

first of all you should try bleeding them again. also check that you didnt get any grease on the pads abrasive side. make sure that there isnt any leaks or damaged seals.

Have you let them bed in properly, your supposed to take it easy on them for a few miles before you start hammering them. Getting them smoking is not a good thing.

Surely I wouldn't need to bleed them as I didn't have any of the hoses disconnected? I have been taking it easy on them but they seem to smoke anyway!
There's no grease etc on the pads or the discs.

Just use them gently and they should bed in and get better. Corsa brakes tend to take a while to get good. No you should'nt need to bleed the system if you've not had any pipes off or anything.

Binding? You don't want that....
You really need to bed them in, the pads will be proper glazed over now if you have had them smoking already. Be gentle.
