I know it was the World Cup, but after Ronaldos lack of loyalty to his Man Utd team mate do you thin he will now definatley leave? I really can't see them playing together after today...

My best guess is that the players have already watched the game footage as part of their 'de-brief'
I would also imagine that the Man U players would be utterly incensed at his behaviour.
Thats my opinion, I await Mike (all Man U player past and present are beyond reproach) Corsas comments on Rooney and Ronaldo

I think it will all die down, and they've probably shook hands by now.

Doubt it really, can't see sir Alex giving up one of his prize assets just because of that..
He will tell them to get over it..
Might be a wee training ground spat though

Sir Alex isn't daft enough to not realise that Ronaldo is at his peak right now and would cost a lot to buy, imo Ronaldo is the ugly side of football, the diving, the moaning, the wanting people sent off - it's disguisting.
He's a one trick pony who does step over after step over after step over with no real substance, some games he's ace, others he might aswell not be there, if he went RVN would stay and I'd not be surprised in the slightest if Man Utd were to sell him and keep RVN.

Come on....think about it. I'm no major football guru, but I would wager a fair hefty bet that it was drilled into rooney pretty heavily not to lose his rag today.
Result? well you saw it didn't you
If renaldo stays it'll kick off again fosho......hasn't he (renaldo) been talking to Real anyways?
My best guess is that he had a ferry ticket in his kit bag before the game

Most likely he is going to Real, but if you play football regular you'd know that when your bloods throbbing, you lose your cool all too easy, I'm a really nice bloke off the pitch but when I'm on it, it's so easy to lose it, and when you come off you think to yourself "Fucks sake, I've made a right cunt of myself, I'll sort it"
These players are not robots, they will have the same feelings plus it will cost them their wages sometimes, when everythings calmed down they'll both know that they just acted the way they did because they feel strongly about getting their nation into the next round.

Deco and Gio v Bronckhorst for instance, after they both got sent off they were sat chatting to each other on the dug out steps with Robben(he was subbed though).

Hmmmmm maybe,
But im not sure you would feel the same being humiliated on the world stage when it was your reputation on the line?
Seems to me that Rooney was baited into a reaction by a fellow clubmate...given Rooney is english, and Renaldo isn't, I can't imagine a crew of english fans forgiving him.

Probably not, but everyone in Manchester are City supporters, Man Utd are made up of a American,Irish and Asians fanbase.
Sorry didn't mean that Man Utd fans was just playing on the old joke.

As for baiting, it's a big part of the game nowadays, diving and theatrics to get cards and penalties, I think the 5th official should be made to work for his pay cheque and have video footage at hand so he can pass on evidence to Fifa and the individuals fined or banned.

i think man u will let him go and fergie will swallow his pride and try to fetch beckham home.

If I wanted to watch Flamengo dancing, I'd go home to a carnival, C.Ronaldo will be at Real Madrid by the sounds of it this morning on Sky Sports News.
