anyone have a link to the download? i wanna try using it on my laptop, it says its vista compatible.
is it still a beta or have they released it yet?
Anyone found any software/hardware issues when using it?
what are peoples thoughts on it?

Released in early 2007. Wouldn't bother with a Beta personally as they're always buggy and shite without fail

Beta is just for developers to test and give feedback on, not for your main PC. Microsoft have had enough people download the Beta version now for testing. But I'm sure you can aquire it from the usual sources if you like...

But I wouldn't bother installing it now, not enoguh drivers support and be careful if on your new laptop, warranty is void is drive is formatted
I installed it (longhorn also), formatted and installed win xp pro after only 2 hrs

I've just started the 32bit Vista download....3.2Gb
Even tho i dont have any download caps, i dont think my ISP are going to like this
good download speed tho 350Kbs

it took me around 2- 2.5 hours to get Vista 32bit
Its ok, like ed says its more for developers to get used to. I found it fairly good for programming on but there is quite a few bugs that need ironing out.

I'm going to install XP Professional x64 when I get my new mothoerboard, as my current one is faulty. Means I can give my CPU a good gallop as I haven't seen it doing it's best yet...
