whats the pipe coming out next to the brake servo hose? my one just has a cap in it. dave A isnt using it either

It's the manifold pressure sensor.

Dave A has a GSI, which doesn't have one. Mine is a Sport.

mine is a gsi but has the x16xe head will i need it?

think you need the x16 lower inlet to fit inlets to the c16

If using the X16 head, won't an X16 inlet need to be used anyway?

think the lower x16xe inlet manifold has to be used regardless of what head is being used.

i have been told that a cavalier hose needs to be used between the throttle body and MAF why is this?

why cant the old hose just be cut and used again

how compicated is it to fit a manzel? im going to be attempting mine soon.

its easy if you are handy with tools. loads of people to help on here if you get stuck

and Leo, if you fit a mantzel you are right that an x16xe inlet has to be used. the pipe that wasnt used on mine is the egr feed. no need to use it at all on either the c16 or x16xe.

am i right in thinking that the mantzel box would be upside down when fitted to a x14xe? has anyone got any pics?

Nope. It's the same inlet as a 1.6

where would i get this part of the engine cover from? because when i fit my inlet it will leave a gap there wont it.
