Looking at getting into photography, never really had a good camera before and dont know much about them.

Is this one any good?

Also which memory cards do they take? Which size is best to go for, will 1gb be enough?

The 350D is a good camera. They take compact flash cars. A 1gb card will get you about 500-600 images. Be shaw to get good quaility lenses to go wil it.

Oh and the editing software you get with it is pretty cool, dead easy to use and can make the photo's look so much better.

350d is a brilliant camera.
Got mine a month ago but not had a chance to take a lot of pics yet.
Read the review and forum on dpreview.
Will tell you everything you could ever need to know.
