hi there
just querying really but my 1.4 16v seems to run oddly hot. it is ok when im on the move going 30+ however driving around more slowly and stopping seems to result in it souring to full temperature and activating the fan, it does it alot and not just when its been driven more quickly.
is this normal?

same with mine, as long as the temp gauge doesnt go over 98/99, your okay, on sunday in traffic jam at 30 odd degrees out side mine just sat with the fan running at 98. but sits about 92 when driving normaly.

Can safely get to 97 iirc before the fans come in.

it might be something to do with the friction from all the moving parts inside the engine generating heat and causing the engine coolant temp to rise. Then the fan kicks in when your going slowly because of the lessened airflow and the increasing temperature
just a hunch....
