..one of these keyless entry kits from ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Remote-Central-Locking-Keyless-Entry-car-KIT-Universal_W0QQitemZ110018604359QQihZ001QQcategoryZ75329QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

To turn ur car from manual central locking to remote central locking?

Seriously considering it but i dont know how hard it would be to install etc..

Any opinions welcome

Chris.

would it need solinoids tho? im sure its just a piggy back to the existing central locking mechanism. You press the open button on the keyfob a signal gets sent to the new ecu which passes it onto the existing one to tell it to open the doors..

Sounds too simple tho..

If you're having any doubts about it, then it ain't recommended to get it However it is very cheap so could be worth a shot for £20

Its hardly keyless entry, its not like it takes the lock off ur door, smooths it over for you is it.

You dont need solenoids as u have handles..

Its just an addon to make it remote central locking. bbut yes, anything universal, isnt.

Im not sure, ive never attempted anything much like what it is, ive not even clicked the link yet!

But if its what you guys say it is, then yeah on principle it should just be matching the wires up.. sounds easy, but you've got to find these wires, and install them correcly without destroying ur central locking in the process, if you have any sparky friends they might be able to help you out
