anyone had problems with the aircon on a 1.6 corsa sport? mine is making a horrible grinding/ rattling noise from the pulley on the condenser. the air con dont work either, should i get it regassed?

Possibly the bearings going knackered in the condenser, would look at getting it changed as it will probably seize up. Does it make the noise all the time? Regas wont fix the noise, but yeah it may just need regassing to sort out the not working.

it gets worse when the car is warm, say after a short drive, but its there most of the time, would an aircon specialist sort it out or will it have to go to vauxhall?

Yeah look for an Aircon place, they should be able to fit the condenser and regas it, or get a garage to fit the condenser then get it gassed at an aircon place.

defo compressor knackered, its because theres no gas in the system that the compressor is noisy

if no gas in system ac pressure switch in the high pressure line wont allow compressor kick in
