See progress is achievable if you stop fooling around with dials

was easy to wire up due to the aftermarket management. all has its own loom etc, no harder than any other 16xe engine
z16 bears a slight relation to the z18 and also the x18xe1, which i nearly got instead. only difference i could find physically was that the exhaust wouldnt of fitted due to the EGR port on the 1.8 would be left open to air

oh what a shame about the EGR im gonna try some ghetto mods on the airbox today, apparently it is quite restrictive?

i dont know, didnt get the airbox, the inlet itself looks fairly good on the inside, the TB is on the top, straight down into a plenum, rather than around the engine, through the boot and then back into the inlet ports

yeah i had a nosey round the plenum on mine, there is absolutely no pipework at all, i reckon there are heaps of restrictions within the airbox design. although i heard these Z engines do not like anything other than the standard airbox when using the standard inlet system. good gains from a K&N panel though...

there will be a couple of pipes in the airbox to restrict the flow, and the cold air inlet pipe to the airbox is smaller than it needs to be, you need a bigger one, from a diesel iirc

will this actually make an improvement, and more importantly is there any threads or guides about it? my search button has dissapeared
as for diesels, they arent all that common out here so that might be a problem

sounds good. K&N panel filters are about £80 here
I gave Whiteline a call yesterday, they can sort me out a fast-road handling package for the C, with adjustable fronts, 20mm lower than the SRi, 28mm ( ) front ARB, 24mm rear ARB, poly bushes on major parts, and front and rear strut braces, all for around £600 equivalent incl fitting. its custom made for the car too. i am just deciding if its worth gambling against the warranty that runs out in 6 months
