I'm talking Corsa C, Renault Clio, Lupo TDi.......

Basically i'm thinking about getting rid of the Ibiza and getting a small diesel car for reduced running costs. I do a fair few miles and I need to start saving money for a house or something, basically save for the future.

Does the C come with a 1.3 and 1.7 diesel engine? Lupo I do like but might be too small. Clio is probably last out of the three. Would rather the Corsa. Anyone on here got a diesel C? Pro's, con's?

Cheers

1.3 is a brilliant engine unless you want to go fast.
Tuning box for under 200 quid of ebay makes it much better to drive.
lowest mpg I get is about 40 although it can do 60 if you drive it properly.

Ant has a diesel C, 1.7 SRi.

1.3 is SXi.

1.7 is 100bhp, fairly nippy.

er, lupo is tiny, no glovebox, boot big enough for a packet of biscuits, not very good value.

clio is horrible to drive IMO.

You will also be able to pick up a diesel C for roughly 50 pence in the next couple of months when the new one comes out.

Ah yeah forgot about that. Still rather the C if I could. I just think they look good as they are. Kind of losing interest in modding and all that, i'm getting old

I'd say an ibiza and polo were bigger than a clio and a corsa.

Looking at corsa exterior dimensions though they aren't much smaller so fair enough.
Fabia is still way out of proce range though.

That looks to me like ibiza/polo are bigger than clio/corsa.

Although the extrior dimensions of the corsa aren't that much smaller after i actually checked.

Lupo and Polo's can be had for half the price of a VRS.
