Its been suggested that i have a sports cat fitted on my car, but i'm sceptical. as you can see from the pictures it looks fairly old/rusty etc. the car however hasnt got a middle box with magnex back box etc, so it was assumed that a sports cat was fitted at the same time. any help would be appreciated. the car is a 1.6 16V Sport X16XE on a R reg

Though it could have had the core taken out of it. It just looks the same as the one I have sitting on the floor of my workshop

If it had the core knocked out, i would think it would rasp.

it rasps at about 3-4k ish upwards, but only on warm days, if that makes any sense
