Ladies and gents, house sale forces much regretable sale

Car is a '93, L-plate corsa GSi (genuine), 116k miles are showing on the clock, but the speedo hasn't worked for almost two years, so it's probably closer to 128k miles on the body.
it's an early car so no electric windows, no sunroof, no air con.....
the engine is currently an '87 20XE from an Astra GTE
this was rebuilt recently with lots of brand new standard and upgraded parts. It's done less than 2,000 miles since the rebuild, so the engine is virtually new. It was run-in sensibly.

Spec details:
Engine
'87 20 XE pre cat 2.0 16v red top from astra GTE
less than 2k miles since rebuild
bottom end professionally rebuilt with new big ends and main bearings, honed bores, forged pistons, brand new oil pump, SBD nylon pressure release valve, SBD steel pump cog, all new gaskets etc.
Top end gas flowed and polished by Gary Poole from Mig, including full clean and new valve seals, gaskets etc.
other items that are non standard are Mantzel power cap, green cotton air filter, powerflow exhaust from standard manifold back to tail pipes in twin oval design (no cat).
conservative estimate of power 160bhp.
cam cover and cambelt cover finished in graphite kinda colour spray paint
belt cover has cut outs to show off the vernier pulleys that i never got round to buying
spark plug cover is part milled and all polished
power cap is powder coated blue
stainless manifold heat shield
bolts for cam cover, powercap, heatshield, and sump are anodised in gold.

Conversion parts
conversion was done by myself first with a '90 calibra engine which proved problematic, before the current '87 engine which runs like a dream.
Calibra equal length drive shafts are used with Cosvaux wheel hubs, and new bearings.
Engine mounts are from Lee Mitchell, and there's a Cosvaux pas mount which isn't being used at the moment.
Mantzel powercap is utilised with a manipulated bulkhead.

Brakes and suspension
'90 calibra 16v front calipers,
standard drums on rear
Goodridge braided hoses all round
Eibach springs
Koni adjustable front shocks
brand new Gmax fixed damping rear shocks
standard gsi front arb

Wheels and tyres
15" et49 cavalier cesearo wheels refurbished and podwer coated in satin black
195/45 15 Avon ZV3 tyres all in excellent condition (estimate 6mm tread all round)
currently have red rim stickers on the wheels but these are easily removable if they're not to your liking.

Interior
Currently stripped out apart from front seats, dash board, and door bins
standard front speakers are present and a Blaupunkt CD headunit.
Cobra Monaco fixed back bucket seats in blue
mounted with adapter frames to the standard subframes, so slide functions and tilt function on drivers side are still present.
Sparco 4 point harnesses in red
sound deadening stripped and interior floor sprayed body colour
Ripspeed leather steering wheel, nice and smnall, flat bottom
some sort of alloy shift knob
Lockheed silver dials

Bodywork
Paint is surprisingly good for age, generally in great condition with the exceptions of a few small areas of either stone chips or surface rust
standard Gsi front and rear bumpers
Steinmetz replica side skirts from Joy Tuning
DEPO smoked headlights
MHW smoked tail lights
clear oval repeaters
famous 'gromet mod' to tailgate
delocked and colour coded passenger side door handle

AOB
the cars been well looked after and doesn't get a huge amount of use lately
performance wise it's pretty quick, posting a best 1/4 mile time of 14.5 seconds on slick tyres or 14.6 seconds on road tyres
it will come with 12 months MOT from w/e 29/9/06
tax is negotiable



I'm looking for £2750ono which i think is a fair price considering the recent engine rebuild at a cost of £1500+
