got 1.5gb of memory jus now,3x512's
wanting to get a 1gb one put in putting it to 2gb of ram
do you guys think il see much difference?

Depends what apps you use really.

If you do heavy image editing in photoshop or any video rendering you might see some diffrence yeah

no he'd have to take a 512 stick out to put the gig one in.. thus making it 2gb

doubtful, i recall xp only utilises a certain amount anyway

Xp supports 4gb no problem and will keep filling it up if something requests it.

I have 2GB now, but i'm taking 1GB out and selling it. No noticable difference for what I use it for, which is multimedia and Pro Evo.
