I can get a VERY cheap superchip at work for the C16xe

Yes or no or hold out for remap?

I'm sure it's already in the chip, depends on the spec.

A re-map is a specific map made for your car.

A chip has a pre made map for a the car.

but yes, same can be flashed..... to suit new requirements

EPROM - elec programmable read only mem

These are known as Customer Key superchips. They program the chip via the port on the car.....

think of it like going to vaux for a service and they install a new ECU map for whatever reason! Same method

Ill check with the boss man

the c16xe one is a chip with a raised limit of 7200rpm. not programmable via the ODB.

personally I wouldnt bother, most engines I have taken apart that have had a superchip used with them show signs they have ran rich, and the gains if any are minimal. only worth it for the raised limit IMO but to use that you will be best to fit ARP's and SBD rollers

I sold a complete superchipped c16xe ecu for £50.

save the money mate and get a unichip. you wont be happy with the gains from a superchip. i had one and sold it a week later

150 fitted brand new is cheap, rrp is 293 fitted.

although id pay 450 and get it mapped to suit your car with a limited set to what ever is suited

i dont have ARP bolts or SBD idlers, im revving to 7800rpm, loves it

i reved to 8500 no probs on standard rods and pistons, didnt like 9000 tho, people are to scared of this:

the unichip i think have went up to £495 fully fitted and mapped. this also includes 2 dyno runs to show you before and after.

arp rod bolts and sbd rollers arent much. i think you will be about £120-£140 for them both.

then you have to look into vernier pulleys unless you already have them
