Not compared to the old days where we'd have 35-40 Corsas at Bluewater alone which is not bad for one region. We once had a Joint Corsa/Saxo sports meet at Bluewater and had soo many cars there.
Hemmel and Southeast of England Cruises used to have good turn outs (we were younger back then so excuse us )
Just too many people have moved on and the B is not as popular as it once was so it hasnt been the same since

This is what used to happen people used to travel to come to the meet. Now since the regional split I think theres been less commitment and willingness to go to meets due to their small size and nature.

I'd travel pretty much anywhere for a big meet, but i dont mind going to places like bluewater (1 hour drive) for small meets

all our meets are regional, people from any region are welcome to turn up, we just choose not to spam everyone elses areas (with the RR day being an exception)

Doesnt matter though does it? Corsasport has never advertised itself as a Corsa B only site.

Think we had 41 at the last one I done... Not bad for down here is it..
Hemels were great meets. Used to go up there, meet everyone, then all head off for Southend in the evening. Nice little drive.
Furthest i went for a CS meet was Stoke, from Kent.... I know Ian also came down to Hemel.
I remember everyone turning up at Bluewater once, was like "so what we doing Daimo? I dunno, shall we go down the coast"? So we all went to Margate, Richy in his 1.0 12 volt desperatly trying to keep up with us all All parked up, right near another purple Sport, couldn't believe it.
There are more users now, but the atmosphere isn't there anymore Everyone just was mates and would chat to anyone.
During the last few meets i done as they got bigger, people started talking less, jsut turning up, standing around in their own groups, getting bored and going home... Hence why we started to loose interest and people moved on.
Still, the community is here, jsut needs some work. People have to WANT to make the effort. But its all about who has the best "this and that" opposed to meeting up purley to have a laugh, see some nice cars etc..
Also, silly, but fuel is a lot more now too so it costs a lot more to get places. Only used to cost me £24 - £26 to fill up D4. Before she went into hiding 2 years ago, it was costing me like £35+ per tank. Damnnnn...
Happy days. Damn i feel old now. Thats OK, Ian's older than me though...

The main bulk of users have got older and lost intrest. I miss the days of the South Of England cruises, the days when everyone used to attend Guildford cruise on the first Sunday of the month, the SE of England meets at Bluewater with beautiful weather. Its sad to be old.
