Has anyone ever imported a game just so that they don't have to have the cover athlete on the game cover thats assigned your our/your country?

I did this on Pro Evo 5. I imported a Spanish copy. It was to avoid having a scummy Chelsea player on the front. Turned out fairly pointless, because the in-game menus are covered with Drogba and Terry anyway!

I'm thinking of doing the same with FIFA 07, to avoid Rooney and have David Villa on instead.

Also did this with NBA live 06, the found out there wasn;t a language select option!

Technically, I imported the game with me as I was in Spain when I bought it? Is it still so bad?

Yes. Just because it has a Chelsea player on the case, doesn't, imo warrant importing a copy. Just buy the game, and scribble the player's you don't like, out.

Or, get on www.cdcovers.cc amd download the English French, German, Spanish, Hungarian and Martian covers, then print one out.

With a bit of tweakery you can remove the foreign text as well.
