im thinking of buying one of those clay bars and detail spray that comes as a pack.

whats the method for using this?

ive heard good things about the clay bars so i'm going to give it a go on the panel's that havent been painted when the van's back from bodyshop on wednesday.

also, can you use the clay bar many times or does it need repleaced regularly?

Nope, didnt remove any crap off mine. Think I used it wrong though.

It's meant to come up like a mirror finish if used properly.

No it's not. It's meant to remove contaminents from the paint which you then polish and wax over to get the mirror finish.

so once you have used it, does it get thrown out?

cause surely it will have bits of grit etc stuck to it?

no you totaly wash car then use so no grit will get in it but once you have used it .it has black spots and grey smears in the bar just play with it and it cleans itself if you like keep panels wet with the spray worked well on mates motors!
