I was at Vauxhall yesterday....looking at what they had on offer...anyway...come across one similar to this...

18.5k...

Had a chat with the salesman.....Got me thinking...

Its a lovely car...but a massive amount of money for a car...

I have told them I would decide by the weekend....

As much as I love the Arden blue, I still think they look best in red (and with those Vectra OPC wheels on!)

No way...arden blue all the way...

Dont think the red looks anywhere near as nice...personal choice though...

Just a heck of a lot of money to spend...it would be the most expensive car I have ever bought thats why im hesitant...

No I cant

Of course I can...why would I have the conversation with the salesman if I couldnt...admittadly I was at Vauxhall to look at something more sensible but this caught my eye...and I fell in love...

My only reservations is 18.5k can get you such a nice car...like a nice big Audi A4 new...or something similar like the Ford ST thing...even something BMW...

If I was to use my sensible head....I would go for the Audi...but I have been driving round in a shed for nearly a year so want something which I will love driving...

I think he means long term Mark. When your money is tied up in the car and you need money for other things for example.

Your car taste is better than your phone taste

I agree whole heartedly, red is awesome.

No I meant can you afford it comfortably enough, wondered why you had reservations that's all.

Depends on how long you plan on keeping it imo.

Veeery long story, Dont mean to hijack anyones thread so I'll keep it short...

There were 8 of us parked in that car park(tesco) and three of the drivers went to get some munchies before we convoyed to southend. Some boys playing football in the car park hit my mates escort which had just had a respray so he had a go at them and prob went OTT, well the boys disappeared so we thought nothing of it, So there were 3 cars left with no drivers (vxr, scooby, and punto) About 20 mins later a massive group of people around 20 armed with everything under the sun came out of the park and started running for us, 5 of us managed to boot it off out of the car park, But the 3 cars were left there, vxr got smashed up and had pickaxe holes in bonnet, scooby got same fate and had its tyres slashed. Punto was left alone. When the drivers came out after hearing us boot it off they got chased with knives and ran into tesco. All pretty shook up and the police did sweet fa didnt even take all of the witnesses names and numbers etc Then a car came over while the police were there and stopped near each of our cars that didnt get smashed then drove off so we are all slightly worried but what can you do

Apologies to markm for the essay!

Have you thought about going 2nd hand instead or is that not an option?

Er...I shall be part financing part of the car...with a big deposit...so probably not an option..

Besides the year I have had with my current shit heap...I want something which when it breaks I can hand back and say "fix it"...free of charge...kinda thing...

We will see...gonno go round a few other places this week see what the other manufacturers have on offer...

*You can tell im getting on a bit as I have always been told to shop around...haha..now im doing it...*

Its not just about what car is quickest and what looks the nicest...there is loads I am concerned with...like residual values...depreciation...etc etc..

You can get it, the deal you get depends on the finance offer you take and deposit etc.

You will have to work something out, but yes pretty sure you get use the 'ticket' with vxrs?

Me and Rach are going to get one next year. Arden blue with the 19's works out at £21k, looked at it yesterday. Will probably get it cheaper than that once you start negotiating with salesmen.

I hate having to wait for things though.
