"All vehicles are pre-registered by our suppliers; however this is normally only 48 hours prior to your vehicle being delivered"

So that basically means that the car will allready have one owner on the log book?

yes cars preregistered normally have the garage as the first owner

they do this to make sales figures for the end of month etc

It seems a good way to get a new car IMO. Get a couple of thousand off the list price for a basically brand new car with 1-2 miles on the clock and a dealership listed as the previous owner.

Saw a website that advertising new cars at quite low prices then looked at the small print and saw what I quoted above. So now I know why they are a bit cheaper than everywhere else.

yes in all honestly number of owners does not bother me

All certain types of cars change owners more often. My car has 2 previous owners as its not that practical

with it being pre-registered it means you won't be sent the v5 for a certain period of time. when we pre-register cars we have the v5's for 90 days.

to be honest if the car is a 1 or 2 owner car it won't make any difference to the trade in price when you come to sell it down the line

I always understood it to be about making sales targets like Whitter said.
