Hi, im looking at buying a C16se soon but would like to rebuild it before going in the car. I was wondering If anyone knew where I could get new piston rings, bearings and gaskets from for this engine.
Thanks, Tim

Vauxhall! If not a dealership then try Autovaux as they're a bit cheaper than dealer prices. LMF Vauxhall will also be able to save you a few quid.
Good luck, I'm on with the same project at the moment

nope c16se is an 8v engine i believe they were in nova's and astra's, you are getting it mixed with c16xe which is the 16v found in the GSi

Yeah will be using the Allspeed frame I recently drove a completed one and love the power mixed with 45+mpg on a good run and reliability.
I considered the C20XE but it needs too many mods and cant keepthe injection set up
