Costs me about £40 a year in parts. Then an hour or so to do all the work.

Garages charge a lot for small ammounts of work for some reason. They do give the car a check over, to make it look like they have done some more work than they have actually done, but essentially a service is just an oil and filter change

small service- oil and filter

big service- oil, air oil fuel pollen filters, spark plugs and poss cambelt

but theres all the checking, thats what the labour charge is mostly for

May be discs and pads etc depending on mileage etc.

In a full full service surely breaks would be bled, as would hydraulic power steering etc?!

You replace those parts as they wear though. You change the brake fluid and PAS fluid when required too.
