At home I have a Denon DHT500SD Home Cinema setup and I'm currently using the original speaker wire that was bundled with it.
The other day Amanda (gf) decided to let the rabbit loose around the living room and the little shit decided it would be funny to chew through both of the wires leading to the rear speakers
So now I'm after some new stuff but was just wondering if it would be worth upgrading to better quality cable. I watch a fair amount of DVDs and also have the system hooked up to the 360.
Any suggestions?

why would you upgrade the wires? The normal should be fine imo
Nice piece of kit is the Denon DHT500SD. Excellent stuff.
EDIT: what do you mean by cables?

Unless you are a bat with superb hearing upgrading isnt needed.
My mate spent £120 on speaker cable and couldent tell the difference.

yeah, just get the normal stuff for the wires.
But for the cable to your TV/Projector, yes this one you MUST upgrade if you haven;t yet done it

Worth getting some decent stuff (as you can hear the difference, but marginally), but dont go stupidly excessive on it - pay around £3-5/m should be fine - ruchersounds does some alright stuff
If your speakers can do bi-wire, it would be worth doing that instead, you'll see bigger difference.
And use banana-plugs also (if you can) makes it a lot easier to install, plus people say you can hear the difference with them......personally i hear more difference in the cable i use rather than the plugs, but there only 50pennies or so

I used the Gale 315 for fronts/center and the 189 for surrounds. You'll probably notice it more on the bass response...
Might be worth going for that AI Ultra Micro cable so it's easier to hide it if it's for the surrounds?
