put this in projects section but cant find it so not sure if its been delited!! but here goes again!

picked up the new project for the day last night from one very proud owner called ross............i work with his mum!

he wanted a re spray, so i picked the car up on the trailer





then unloaded it and took some more pics







started work on it then, had problems getting the jack under the car cos its so low............



used some bubble wrap to keep under the beetle clean..... hehe



then on axle stands...........



got the shell off



started to de sticker it

pics from tonight:-

rubbed whole shell down and masked car up and plastic primed it...





then normal primed the car





then painted the whole car ford imperial blue and then then back in renault noir black





then started to put some blue to green flip over the top of the of it all....

then i built up few coats of liquid gold deception flip, which got a nice effect!!!

then i put a coat of flakes on the car and been building up coats of laquer to get rid of the texture of the flakes, just waiting for laquer to go off and then can do couple more coats of laquer before i go to bed!!

here are pics!!! i love it

why u done this? is it a present for a friends kid or somethin? looks pretty cool though! (off topic but i know loads of people with mobile phones that have been painted by tvr)

think he knows that i paint cars so he wanted his done............

he asked bout a month ago and i said i was to busy and had a months waiting list expecting him to forget about having it painted but then he brought it in...........so i got thinking and thought it would be fun to do and not cost anything really cos the paint is just lieing around!

basically my night consisted of.........

working till 10
then did 10-11:15 on the little car, rubbed down, dried, masked up, plastic primed, primed, painted blue, painted pruple, started to paint flip!

then went to mates house to plan on need for speed, 11:30-1:15

then home and done rest of painting,

bed now,

back at work at 9tomorrow morning!

ahhhh all good fun

update on the car, have just shifted the shell and put it in to the paint baker.............well on the aga actually,







take note i think the car goes well with my shefs trousers..........hehe

will leave it to harden till this afternoon then put it back on the chassis this afternoon

What a transformation
