Talking to a guy the day who runs a Celica new one / Gt4 / MR2 turbo seems to know his car stuff..
he suggested that there is a relay and resistor in line with the fuel pump I think it was and taking these out and hard wiring it may take away the flat spot? As in some cars pump runs 8v till higher revs then relay switches and 12v's come through? for more fuel?????Opinions So hard wiring will remove resistor and let it run 12v constant...Sound possible?
Also talking with a few guys on s40concepts.com amd volvospeed.com that they have seen T4 with the same dip, also said a few came with ECU problems and changng that helped..And were seeing 212-220 from the stock engine instead of the standard 200..

resistor thing sounds like crap to me
even if it is true, if thats the way it works surely you' be overfueling your car at low revs?

the fuel pressure reg still controls the fuel steve so it wont. its more a case of higher up ther revs if the voltage to the pump isnt good enough, it wont be able to cope and would run lean

well it will be because of 3 things:
boost dropping off
going rich/lean
high voltage drain at 4k rpm (unlikely)
ignition timing retarding/advancing (dodgy sensor, probably knock sensor)
ok then 4 things.
