Cool , V-mounts area worthy mod to the RX , while your stripping down get shot of the Air COn , no point in having it in and takes up valuble space and weight.

Is a V mount really worth it on your spec, or is it more for looks?

hold on... i'll link to a nice thread detailing a build with a V mount on wide arch drift R32 GTS.
http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/63666-taff-tune-gts-r32-56k-huge-no-no-7.html
read from page 1 if you have time. Good interesting hands on project

its worth it just to keep temps down i plan to do alot more next year and having this fitted now will help, id go for the cheaper option of a front mount but they block air flow to the rad and i dont like the idea of that.

yea they do, but the stock intercooler suffers really bad from heat soak so the vmount just seems to be the next step, alot of the guys on rotary club use front mounts but they upgrade there rad at the same time.

does a lot of cold air get chanelled up to the IC or do you have to fit some ducting to help?
Any alterations to the front on the car to set this up? Apart from a funky bonnet vent i presume

you can make ducting to go up the sides of the rad so the air cant escape around it. they all say it works best with a vented bonnet but there are people out there running them with standerd bonnets with good results.

wont that just blow hot air into the engine bay like a normal setup anyway
Yup... a nice bonnet 'hole' would draw the air through it better and get rid of the hot air.
Just a random thought..... wont this reduce down force with air pushing the car up? Prob negligable but just thought of it

lifting the front further
what on earth is going on with the 2nd pic?
is that a view from the bumper hole below the licence plate?
looks to shorten the IC pipework a fair bit too. Heaps of room in that engine bat

I uprated my Rad, best thing to do with FMIC is offset them on the rx.
