Good phone, but let down by the annoying crap and personalisation Orange do to the phones...
Bad Points/Problems
ALOT of the Customisation options have been disabled
Cant change the Welcome Message
Trying to add Voice Dial recordings, says wait for the beep, doesnt beep, then moans about being in a loud environment when im sat in a quiet room.
Doesnt have GAUNTLET like the unbranded version of the W850i (I want to play it DAMN IT)
Cant quite figure out how to get the full 3G Video experience going, like downloads and stuff, as it ALWAYS connects via GPRS even though I have ace 3G reception...
Still need to ring Orange to quest the delay on the answerphone be changed or fully disabled
Fuck all content in regards to Games to be downloaded to it via Orange (infact no games available)
Slow USB Transfer speeds...
Good Points
1gig Memory Stick as standard (although now full)
Usual SE-style Interface
Camera i good quality, and even in the dark with nightmode, it hardly blurs!
VideoDJ is pure class!
Video Ringtones/etc all work perfectly, rather amusing having some porno on when you get a call from someone 
Video call quality and speed is mighty impressive!
Walkman is just genius - and the flashing light as a disco effect thing is cool!
Feels VERY solid design and construction, even with its slider!
Bloody tiny! Smaller than the K700i!
Overall, its a good phone, just let down with the crap way orange have customised it  So I think Im gona get it de-branded if possible, and then just see how it goes from there... Orange though need to get more 3G support out there from what I see on this phone, all well and good having it on the network, they just need to get more content!

Hardware reset thas how the old nokia 7600 were taken back to standard after 3 messed them up

tried a phone reset, nothing there is no hardware reset option though... will see if I can find a way to get an unbanded ROM myself and flash it, was easy enough on the P910i when I had that!

Did you unbrand your p910? Was it on orange?
I agree on the customization, they fuck about with the phones too much.
I dont even like the icons on my w810 as they have changed the std sony ones for the "grey" orange ones...

yes, the p910 got taken to a phone shop to do that, was hella much better when debranded! And yes, it was on Orange!
agree with the icons, they truly suck! Been reading through the site I posted in Marcs thread about it, I get mixed views on it, but suppose I wont know until I try it! Plus if I set the CDMA to Orange, if it goes wrong I 'technically' should be able to just use the SEUS to go back to the orange rom!
I just want it speeding up mainly, but also looking fancy as its supposed to!

Hmmm i know not what you speak of with seus and rom.
This has always put me off doin this, i dont mind the orange branding on the p910, i like the homescreen with the flip open.
Thats all tho!

well it was quite easy with my xda when did that compared to the P910... ok so it wasnt exactly a 'de-branding' in all sense (still had the O2 startup screen) but all the software on it I did change, its quite easy messing with the extended rom and all the pre-configuration, blank all that, add your own to install in a set order via a script, do a master reset and boom, its all completel custom!
