righto....

looking for some insight into possible cars in the new year. Say late April, early may 2007.

Will be selling the Impreza, and the Range Rover.... a stream lining and funds releasing kinda move.

Properties:

* Econmical (not really, prob just normal as opposed to obscene like the Range Rover)
* Able to tow twin axle trailer + 1200kg car
* Fee wants it not to look old fokey... and all girly type of things here

A few possiblities i have thought of...

2.5 Td Navara
2.5td L200 Warrior
Audi A4 Estate (avant is it?)

but they all start to sound pointless to me. They are all near 10k, meaning pointless selling the cars in the first place, just to replace with less insurance/running costs.

so... things like old (95) import pajero's and Hilux Surfs sound more feasable. I quite like the look of surfs

so.... over to you. If you post a suggestion, can you give reasons and a pic please?

SWB pajero's/shoguns are quite cool and good value

May aswell stick with something like this imo, worthwhile for the releasing money bit and better on petrol than your rr, plus anything else big enough to tow a twin axel trailor comfortably in that price range is defo gonna be old man territory.

Could stretch and buy an oldish uk impreza wagon though.

Toyota Hilux Surf.

My mate has one. It's a great piece of kit. Has all the extras, recaro seats etc. plenty of room.

Only thing is, it's a 2.4TD. It's a bit thirsty, the engine isn't big enough. If you go for one, get the 3.0TD

Towing isn't a problem, we towed a 3ton mini digger without a hiccup.

if ur gettin a pajero go for a a LWB petrol and automatic.. as apparantly these are the better model.. mates dad has had quite a few and they can always be bought for decent prices
