So glad to see him go, god knows he done so well with Lyon.

Supposedly Walter Smith to be new manager with McCoist and McCall as coaches.

Anyone heard any rumours about who's coming in?

He come from the French league...

"Most" things coming direct from this league seem to be overrated...there are exceptions though of course...

Thats the problem, we would gain but Scotland lose out.

I'm hearing Graham Souness also, i cant stand the guy, don't think he has a clue, i'd rather alec McLeish came back

Durrants in charge "for the forseeable future" apparently. Can't wait until Sunday now, see if he'll change the team. And to see if Barry will be back, and captain again

Why not make Barry Ferguson player/manager he seems to think he's Mr Rangers and so do 90% of the fans,I am one of the other 10% lol.

I would have liked to see Le Guen get a chance, how can he manage when Ferguson was going against his decisions and changing stuff on the park,Barry needs a slap back down to earth and remember hes only a player 1 player doesnt make a team.

Where do we go if Smith, souness,mc coist,mc call ,bown any of them come in and we are still no better, what gets done then???Sack that manager too?

Ditto

Back to the point anyway,

I don't think ferguson thinks he's bigger than the club, he's our captain, he was obviously not happy with Le Guen and voiced his opinion to him then was dropped out of the squad.

I'm glad he did what he did because if not Le Guen would've carried on as boss.

Obviously we still have the same team but if Smith comes in he will bring confidence to the team with the scottish boys in the team trying harder to impress.

I know the league is over be we MUST get 2nd place, will kill us financially if we don't!

Just a thought,

Could he do both jobs, Rangers & Scotland?

Is this allowed?

Indeed he is.

Paul Le Gone leaving wasn't just down to Ferguson he was just the tip of the iceberg, his lack of commitment to the team according to the papers had a big part to play in Sir Murrays decision.

Smiths maybe taken Scotland as far as he can though & is looking for a new challenge, like I said when Le Guen bumped Baz from the squad - they should bring back Smith....& they have so im certain rangers are going to go from strength to strength now!!

Colin, Smith has only just begun really with Scotland, good chance to qualify for next tourney etc....Unfinished work I say..He should stay and finish what he started with Scotland in my eyes....Managers are all to eager to move leave to soon when a job comes up.

Smith and coisty would be a great appointment for Rangers though....But shite for Scotland..

Rangers also signing Webster this month too...and want thompson etc from hibs..
