I only saw it on the apple website, only had a front view and it looked pretty big but looks thin enough. I'm having that when it comes out.

Are operators likely to take this on to offer to customers or will we have to buy direct from Apple?

Think it'll be exclusively to a phone network such as vodafone. That's how they're doing it in the US.

It does look really nice but there is not that much that has not been done before.
It will be interesting to see how well things like thier touch keypad works and now well it does error correction etc.

Quadband GSM, so it'll work fine on European networks.
The only reason the model at MacWorld is on Cingular is because they had a previous partnership for the ROKR. I can't see why it wouldn't be available to all the UK networks that sold the ROKR.

Some of the features of the phone require support for it from the provider. Thats one of the reasons its a single provider.
Things like the voicemail / conferance calling etc has been developed in conjunction with cingular. If you used it on a UK network these features would not work.

Of course, but most of the features will still work on UK networks. However, I'd hope for a couple of tweaks to the UK version to solve this. It'd certainly justify it taking another 6 months to be available over here.

No 3rd party software.
What providers here provide push email?
