Is the company car list offered going to include maintenance?
Cash for car will probably stipulate that she maintains the vehicle with her own money.

the car list is going to include maintenance. and a fuel card
if she gets her own one with the other option then she has to look after it. but again gets a fuel card

As tempting as the cash allowance budget looks, people can get carried away with cars that they cant really afford to maintain. i.e - lets go buy an evo or M3 etc...maintenance costs rocket.
Her company have a duty of care to adhere to and this overlooked all too often.
A company car supplied by the company itself is usually a better way to go about things.

I know most people don't like them but I'd go for the 9-3. Get a nice 2.0t for about that money IIRC
Fairly quick but nice and comfortable too.

my boss has the 9-5 aero estate - 2.3 hot version IIRC. that this is RAPID for an estate.
He told me once that he was at a set of lights next to a 106 with alloys, spoiler etc and started revving up the car......lights changed at my bosses estate pulled away to the horror of the guy in the 106....
even worse was that my boss was towing his boat

yeah, the saab, if she hasnt got to worry about what to do with it come change-time. if she has, then avoid Saab like you would a dig turd. Cos no one will want to take it in p/x / give a decent p/x price a few years down the line, except Saab!
She could have the new Leon Cupra inside that budget, get her to talk sense into them, and send her my way Steve

Feck that i'd be having an evo 8 or 9, ok maybe not given the tax she'd probably have to pay.
The 2.2 limit means it's probably gonna have to be a 2.0 turbo/similar imo, astra vxr, new leon cupra r.
