Someone at the weekend was telling me about these Diamond/Pyramid money making schemes where u put a grand in then 4/5 months later u get 10+ grand back for doing nothing (trying 2 convince me it is the best thing since sliced bread )
is this just a scam? any experiences/thoughts?

ultimate scam as if you look at the layout or heirarcy the people at the bottom are always loosing out its the people at the top that are making all the money never go into a pyramid scheme its a big scam.

Don't do it...
My friend got £2k from it, so I chipped in with someone else for £150 and lost it... He got in in time, i didn't. Luckily i only put in a bit...
He got in at the right time, but its awful really.
